Constructo started its journey in early 1982. The people have promoted Constructo with high degree of accomplishments in professional endeavors. Today the clientele of Constructo spreads out all over the world.
At Constructo, it is our goal to enter into, develop, and nurture long term partnering relationships with our customers. We are in the business of providing a service and a product; a service dedicated to the customer and a fabricated product of the highest quality for a fair price. Our goal is not only to meet the customer’s expectations, but to exceed them.
Our team of experts is one of the most experienced and well qualified in all of South India. With an in house engineering department, our project managers are able to work closely with the designers and engineers in the conceptual phase of the project. Constructo employees are encouraged to be innovative and creative, teaming with the architects, owners and general contractors to solve any problems they might encounter. As a result, we have developed a proven system of budget and construction cost estimating that brings our projects to conclusion with extreme accuracy and often gives the owner a below budget final cost.
In 1982, a group of technocrats started mechanical contracting services in South India by hiring its employees to form ‘Constructo’. Since that time, Constructo has grown to become one of south India- Chennai’s service mechanical contracting firms.
C.R. Rathinam was the CEO and founder of Constructo along with M.G. Nambudiri. Before founding the company, Rathinam and M.G. Nambudiri worked in a worldwide and internationally known engineering company L&T. With the help of L&T both C.R. Rathinam and M.G. Nambudiri workedas consulting engineers of fabrication and erection for various oil and gas and engineering companies. After C.R. Rathinam’s Heavenly abode, M.G. Nambudiri has taken the mantle and is keeping the dreams of the founder alive. Presently C.R. Rathinam’s son joined the business and heading the business enterprise as CEO.
Over the years, Constructo provided uncommon service to its many customers, specializing in large products and process piping in the power industries oil & gas industries and refineries, chemical industries and industrial sites throughout southern, northern India and abroad.
To more closely partner with the reputed companies’ technical experts and the owner to produce the highest quality fabricated product, Constructo hired technical experts to acquire engineering expertise and design aspects, from leading construction companies and mechanical engineering design firms. M. G. Nambudiri, technical Director leads a staff of engineers and designers, providing full service mechanical and other engineering and design work to our customers, while teaming with our project managers on a number of mechanical jobs.
Constructo has sought and received certification from different organizations as an Accredited Quality Contractor since inception.
The corner stones of Constructo’s quality assurance system are based on the principles of the international standard ISO 9001-2000, focused on client satisfaction; the company has an extensive internal quality assurance and control procedures which meets the requirement of ISO 9001-2000. All elements of our operations are undertaken within the framework of afore mentioned quality management system.
It is obvious that Constructo particularly as an environmental service provider demonstrates its commitment towards health and Safety and Environment.
This underlined by its well-developed Health Safety Management System supplemented by the environmental management system in full compliance with the international standard ISO 14001.
With over 200 technicians and 600 skilled, semi- skilled and unskilled employees, Constructo ranks as one of the largest mechanical sub-contractors in south India, Chennai. The company is composed of piping and sheet metal estimators and project managers, pipe fitters, welders, sheet metal workers, maintenance service technicians and administrative staff.
